报告题目：Modelling high-deformation processes at small length-scales: Progress and Challenges

个人介绍:

Anish Roy is a Professor of Mechanics of Materials and Processes at Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University. He holds a PhD in Computational Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA and a MS in Civil Engineering from the same university. His research interests are in continuum dislocation mechanics, crystalline plasticity, hybrid machining processes which include machine design and the modelling of the machining process across all length-scales. His current research focus is on designing and developing computational techniques which will allow for just-in-time numerical models without losing accuracy.
